Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
