Intensive Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

He said that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the city experienced intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child died and multiple civilians were injured.

The strikes succeed evenings of air raids in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
